My Seventh Week Reflection
First of all, we talked about presentation systems and platforms. Now, using such sites instead of boring powerpoint presentations is a very good step to improve and transform our presentation. We reviewed Nearpad, Mentimeter, Hypersay. Frankly, Nearpad has so many options that it catches your eye, among others: images, audio, video, multiple choice questions and collabration page. The best part is that you can add activities instantly and it is the VR option because you can easily visualize what you want to tell in the minds of the students by using the VR option, and you can derive a lot of activities. The downside is that there is no QR code, but I don't think that's a big problem either. As for Mentimeter, there is a QR code, a Q and A session, a word clouds option, as a disadvantage you are limited to choosing 3 for each activity. We can think of HyperSay as an alternative to zoom and teams with features such as slide sharing, live quizzes, chat, video screaming. You can also convert your traditional ppt to Nearpad or HyperSay presentation and share your own image. You can add up to 10 participants to the meetings you hold here, which is a disadvantage in my opinion. It's pretty cool that Nearpad has a student and teacher view option, but which app is better depends on the situation. Next, we looked at Q and A and the live polling platform Slido. Slido is an application where you always do something active, so it's not like a slide. You can have virtual or hybrid meetings here, it has an active pool, it's more of a conversational and interactive platform. For Infographic Creation, we looked at Canva and Crello, and they're pretty much the same apps. Both have a lot of template options, but some are for promembers. You can easily create infographics on both these platforms. Finally, we looked at Piktochart, this platform is also for creating presentations and it also has free and premium features like Canva. As a result, although I learned a lot of useful websites, the main thing I learned is that while teaching us some things in the lesson, putting the repetitions of our other lessons into the applications without overwhelming us and without being aware of it, I think makes the lesson very fluent and permanent. While you are teaching these sites, it draws our attention to you when you give us information about different technologies and internet usage from time to time. This course taught me how I can use a teaching method, how I can make my course fluent, as well as the sites and platforms that I will use in the future.
